Using short reports to fire up your business…

Many top marketers preach that viral marketing is one of the most effective ways of driving huge amounts of traffic to your website. Some marketers have even launched their online businesses and kept them working because of their viral marketing strategies - one successful example of this is Lee McIntyre and he reveals how he has made over $100,000 since starting online 6-7 months ago on his site here.

But how else can you write your way to viral success?

Well today I have got 2 quick tips for you today…

Number One - Write a HOT viral report (yeah yeah, you’ve heard it all before…)

Ok so yeah, you know about writing a report that is packed with hot information, that people will be happy to share with their friends and, if you do it well, their list, but they’re several things you must do to make sure this happens. Fristly, it must be good information for your report to go viral (especially in the make money niche). Also I recommend you do NOT force people to opt-in for a free report, if you have to opt-in it is not, strictly speaking, free anymore.

Why not offer the opt-in? I have found this way produces much better results. Also you can have plenty of links on the download page, you can have redirects etc. Just don’t force the opt-in. SIMPLE.

Now I also recommend you don’t stuff the report full of links to your site, affiliate products or friends sites and offers. I recommend that you place a simple link in the footer to your site or offer, prefferably going straight to sales/squeeze page of some sort. Keeping it almost link free will encourage people to share it as much as possible as long as the information is something people will benefit from.

A final thing to encourage people to re-distribute your report and promote your business is to allow them to brand your footer link and put their affiliate link but to YOUR product at the bottom of each page. This will encourage the re-distribution no end!

Try these techniques and watch them work ;)

Number Two - Write an article or squeeze page for your re-distributers to use to get people to download your report once they have re-branded it…

Here’s the lowdown, simply write a interesting and gripping article (like this one ;-) ) and give it to your affiliates to use to get people to the download page for their version of YOUR report. Encouraging your affiliates to take action will increase the amount of action they actually take to help you build your business.

Providing them with materials they need will do the rest to get them working for you. Also remember that YOUR list is FULL of people who will be ready to promote your product whatever niche you are in, let them know about the report, how they can brand it, make money and set the off.  Remember, explain all the important points if they aren’t in a tech savvy or make money niche. Also make it simpler for people who aren’t used to the ways of the internet marketing world.

Mixing Business With Pleasure

Sounds good doesn’t it? ;-)

Well recently my I have notice my focus has increased fantastically and I have been getting A LOT more done when working online, simple tasks such as updating blogs, writing articles, and editing my new membership site www.TheProfitBoost.com are just some of the tasks I have completed this last week. There is a tiny little secret to my success aswell.

The Xbox 360!

Last month I bought the xbox and have got it the other side of the room from my PC, at first it was a distraction (warning: it is extrememly addictive) but now I have come to terms with it’s addictiveness I have used it in a positive way to help me work much better and more productively.

I had never tried this before but I know start to take 10-30 minute breaks between tasks. For instance I after I update this blog and a couple of other sites I may enjoy a quick bout of ‘Pro Evolution Soccer 2008′ (great game to play online) then head back and carry on writing next months ‘Profit Boosters’ report.

By the time I am back at my PC I find I am totally refreshed and focused on work! It is ubelievable how well this has worked for me so I decided to recommend it to the faithful readers here at www.DannyClare.com

Save time and money with a plan

Let me ask you a question – how do you think the newly crowned Super Bowl champ New York Giants won the game? Do you think Tom Coughlin told everyone “Okay, so lets try and sack Tom Brady and then offense lets try to get the ball in the end zone. Heck lets just try different things and see what works.”

Ok, maybe not that drastic, but you get the picture. Against an undefeated and ready Patriots team, not to mention the fact that they were the number one offense in the NFL, they needed a plan and a good one.

Surprise, surprise, they did and won the game as an overwhelming underdog. This is much the same in business and carries over to online business. It is funny how many people start off online and try different things with out any real rhyme or reason to it. They try it because they think it will work or they think people will want to buy a certain product they are promoting.

A lot of wasted time can be avoided if you just implement a plan. Plans are what make a successful business owner. Mapping out some direction will give you a directive to follow. It will allow you to look at it further down the road to see what worked or what did not. It will let you see if you need to change anything or if you are on the right track.

This is so important for an online business owner. Working from home can be quite distracting. Having your personal email only a click away and the never ending information super high way another click away, you could find yourself just browsing the newspaper online and find that you have lost a few precious hours.

How do we get around that? Set a plan for yourself and follow it. Daily, weekly and monthly plans are not unheard of for many successful owners. Start from the beginning. Plan out time to do your keyword research, do some research around forums focused on your niche, set aside time to write articles or other SEO tasks. Set up time to build your web site, build your auto responder messages and products you will promote.

Setting a plan for all aspects of your business will allow you to see what you need to work on and what you need to change. It is hard to know what we need to fix if we do not even know what is working. Of course you can try the technique where you try everything and see what works for you, but we are talking days and months or even years of wasted time. Do you have time like that to waste? I don’t. Set yourself up for success and not failure by spending a few hours coming up with a workable plan. You can easily set one up for your day, week and even month. One of the things I must stress though, is to be realistic. Setting goals such as writing 30 articles a day is not impossible, but if you do not like to write, it may not be a realistic goal to reach. So remember, use your time wisely and you will be profiting for years to come.

List Building Hints and Tips

As a fellow online marketer I assume you will be building a goldmine…erm sorry I mean a list ;). But as I am sure you know a list means money! The more power your list has the more money you will make. Today I have a few things I want to share about your list building efforts and your autoresponder.

One of the most common uses for a marketers autoresponder is a simple ecourse, usually around 5-10 lessons/parts in length, and normally full of well written, quality info.  The problem is what happens after the ecourse? In most cases not much!

You must pack your autoresponder full of different messages, not making your ecourses so predictable, some days miss lessons and instead send offers or gifts, send a different related ecourse after or upsell to them in the final installments. Also remember to have messages stored for after the end of the course.

BIG TIP? Write an article providing quality info and also promoting a related product every week for the sole purpose of adding it to your autoresponder and not using it for anything else. It’s recycled value will be worth so much more than it would of ever made just being submitted to some directory or blog!

So, keep adding to your autoresponder! But have a good balance, send broadcasts out to your list members too. But remember; don’t see them as “list members”, but as people who are PART of YOUR business! So when you send your broadcasts; address them in the right way.

Seeing the names on your list for the real people they are will imrpove if not rocket your chances of building any business via your list, the people on your list have a much greater reach than you. Don’t forget: many hands make light work. 1000 people’s efforts will help your business grow much more than just your own efforts.

I am back….

Wow!

After a long break I decided to get my self back on track and focused again, it has simply being too long since I last posted to this blog. I have been busy with offline work hampering me and therefore I haven’t had time to spend on my online ventures.

All that is about to change AGAIN!

How To Create Your Content In Half The Time

G’day,

Many marketers find creating their content one of the most time consuming tasks they will ever do online. I quickly realised it was just the same for me and started working on cutting down the time it takes for me to produce quality content. After some time I was pumping out content like a machine, so in this article I describe some of the methods I use to cut down on my writing time.

One of the main things I do is have templates to work from whenever I am writing something. For articles I have title templates, that help me think of ideas of what to write about. For ebooks and short reports I have chapter templates that help piece my different ideas together into a respectable and readable document that I can sell. This cuts down as I don’t spend ages deciding what to write or how to get my ideas on paper, before I actually start writing.

My Second hot tip for you is to have checklists whenever you a creating content. One for writing. One for audio. One for video. One for interviews and so on. Then Once you have one for writing, have one for writing articles, writing reports, writing emails. Then every time I create something I quickly go through my checklists to guaruntee I tick every box I need to. This saves stacks of time, that I might spending checking and tweaking the article, becuase of the checklists I dont have to.

Next up to help you save time is to schedule when you are going to create something. I set normally around 3 hours a week JUST for writing articles and only articles! It used to be 5 or 6 but I have learnt how to save my time by boosting my productivity. I have set hours in my business plan for writing ebooks, creating audios, and recording videos. Because of this I am extremely focused this helps me keep to the task at hand until I have completed it.

When creating, think series. This will save you pondering what to explain or how to explain it. If you have created an audio product called ‘The 20 Minute Guide To Rocketing The Conversions Of Your Squeeze Page’ then you could write something like ‘The 20 Minute Guide To Squeezing Cash From Your List’. Now I am sure you couldn’t resist the next installment in that series if you had already bought the first. Writing in series will also help you build a brand of content that is instantly recognised and, if your content is good, respected.

My Final tip for cutting down on the time you spend creating content is to split your content into a set number of points. This makes your content instantly easier to write, because you do not have to worry about linking each point in a logical order. It is all easy done by a seperate bullet for each point.

Marketing to any niche online is hard enough as it is, but you need to have a healthy amount of QUALITY content to post across the world wide web. Whether it be short reports, articles, multimedia, fully blown e-courses, or just a simple ebook: you need loads of the stuff. IN the following paragraphs I aim to provide you with the BEST ways to make sure you are cranking out quality content to keep your business/es packed with materials to use for sale, promotion, or to plump up websites.

The first thing I recommend you do is to accommodate room in your business plan to write articles on a regular basis. This is the key to getting them quickly completed and ready to go. I try to do at least 7 articles a week MINIMUM! I have a set day every week where I get my head down and get to work on writing as many articles as possible. But I don’t rush them, the key for me is to make sure I am pumping out articles in good fashion but also to make them of the best possible standard. If you can write 7 articles a week you will find life online a lot easier; you can post each article to your blog/s, you can distribute some/all to various article banks that you have selected, you can send them to ezine publishers to send to their mailing lists, or even send them to your own lists. You could even compile all your articles from one week, assuming they are related, and create yourself a short report that you can sell or give away. Articles are perhaps the most powerful form of content online because of their versatility.

The second way to guaranteeing you are producing your fair share of content is to compile small reports that may only be 5-15 pages long. Again if you plan to work on this 1-3 hours every day you can ensure you pump plenty of these out every week! They can gain HUGE exposure to your list if you include giveaway or resell rights with them. They are so simple to write and produce it is unbelievably easy. If you are still to create your first product online then I recommend you start by writing a few of these. My main tip with these is to keep things concise, then throughout the report mention a more in-depth up-sell which will be part of your profit funnel. These reports can easily become viral if you are selling them with rights or giving it away with rights, if not listen to this: get an affiliate programme.

The Final key to produce the most content possible has already been mentioned in this article and that is to schedule time for the creation of your content. A slot of time every working day on my business plan is used to write articles and create products. In this section of time I just get my head down and get to work, as long as you do this I promise you will find things very easy and there is a good chance you will enjoy it too!

To conclude I want you to go away now and schedule some time to create something for yourself! Even if you start with just an article a day or a small report every week. You will soon have a big library of content you can refer people to, which is obviously excellent because it gets visitors to your site and then if you have produced the best you can your visitor will very likely refer others. Once you have such a library of products, reports and multimedia you will start to find things easier online. You may be wondering what to write about; the easiest way is to head off to the favourite forum in your niche and find a hot topic or one where people are having problems - write about that.
